Simplecity.Design has a deep-seated respect for how the natural environment, built environment, and the culture of a community must work together to inform the development of cities.  Our team has come to understand that most built spaces are designed around things, not people.  Our mission statement is to serve as a catalyst for cities to create geographically sensitive and livable communities.  At our core, our team operates on common sense, creativity, connections, and compatibility as our values.

Simply stated, Simplecity.Design functions as a boutique firm offering tailored solutions to meet the needs of our clients recognizing most problems stem from poor design and regulatory policies.  This methodology is unconventional in our industry because it requires our team members to unpack community issues, understand their cause and effect, while seeking permanent solutions through improved design and public interaction with places.  We can achieve this level of tailored services because our staff has more than 50 years of local government experience in various positions providing innovative expertise, achieving exceptional rather than expected results.  Our collective experiences include city planning and design, city management, form-based codes, downtown revitalization, historic preservation, community development, community engagement, urban design, economic development, comprehensive plans, and transportation design.
